Love Ezekiel bread? Have a bread machine! I show you how to do it in the Zojirushi bread machine (the only one I recommend for freshly milled wheat).

Ezekiel Bread in Bread Machine - 100% Freshly Milled
This is a recipe for your own Ezekiel Bread that is milled at home using the Zojirushi Bread Machine
Equipment
- 1 Zojirushi Virtuoso Plus Bread Machine Can also use the Zojirushi Supreme
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups hard red wheat berries unmilled
- 3/4 cup spelt wheat berries unmilled, rye can be substituted
- 1/4 cup hulled barley unmilled
- 2 TB millet unmilled
- 2 TB lentils
- 1/4 cup garbanzo beans dried
- 1 1/2 cups lukewarm water
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup avocado oil or other mild oil, see notes
- 1 egg beaten duck egg is preferable, but one large chicken egg will work great
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 TB instant yeast do not use active yeast, but bread machine yeast or quick rise will work fine
Instructions
- Combine grains and beans together and mix well. Grind up into a fine flour.
- In the bread machine, add IN ORDER: 1 1/2 cups of warm water, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup oil, 1 1/2 tsp salt, 1 beaten egg, 5 cups of Ezekiel flour (if you are a bit short on flour, mill some more hard red wheat).
- After adding the flour, make a little shallow well in the middle and add 1 TB instant yeast.
- Place bread container in Zojiriushi bread machine.

- When you have your settings set, hit "start" on your bread machine and sit back and wait!
- Once bread is done, cool down before slicing and enjoy!

Notes About the Beans
If you do not have garbanzo beans, you can use all lentils. Note About Shaping Option
If you turn on the "shape" option in the Zojirushi this means it will beep after kneading so you can remove the bread and shape it to how you want and place it back. This will allow the bread to have a more even shape. I'm ok with the shape I usually get, so I skip this. Troubleshooting Tips

I made this bread today and mine rose very high and cracked on the top, and I was glad to actually see it rise that high, because with other breads I made were sinking. It smelled great while baking and it tastes great also. I will be making more for sure, thanks for the recipe. I would have sent a picture but there is no way to do that……
