This was very simple and good! I used fresh garlic and onions, and next time I’ll add carrots. A lovely lunch with a slice of this author’s simple yeast bread!

So yummy! Made it on the stove. I used chicken broth in place of water and a whole onion instead of half. So, so good! Serving with cornbread
